High concept softies

I'm a big fan of all softies (obviously!). Love the cute ones, love the funny ones, love the pink ones (LOL). And today, I especially like the conceptual softies - the ones that you don't expect anyone ever would have thought to make into a plush toy. They show us a really original, creative spirit behind each.

Lemmings

Ok! These are lemmings diving off the edge of the cliff, falling into the sea and then returning to climb back up and dive off again! WOW. what a great idea for a little softie world. This is by the same designer who made the Sleepy Snake Eating a Mouse blogged about here on 4.30

Designer: Mochimochiland

Tv

Poltergeist TV!

Designer: serenakuhl

Tree2

This is a crocheted red Japanese maple tree - look how one leaf has dropped from the tree - lovely detail that!

Designer: Mumblepeg who also won a Softie Award earlier this year

Beef

News Alert! Broccoli Beats Beef!!! What a hysterical idea!

Designer: dkoss2

Scream

This guy reminds me of that Edvard Munch painting, The Scream

These are so great! The lemmings jumping off a cliff softie is amazing. Ans Dkoss2's softies are all sorts of brilliant. Thanks for showing us these cool concept softies!

Thank you so much for featuring "Beef with Broccoli" with these other fantastic artists! I have been admiring your blog for some time and it's such an honor to be a part of it! Thank you!

Glad to see these guys back.
